This course is for engineers and safety professionals who lead HAZOPs (or are stepping into the leader role) including those responsible for ensuring the study is delivered in full, on time, and within scope, using the agreed resources. This is especially relevant if you’re expected to maintain methodology compliance (nodes, deviations, documentation) and keep a multidisciplinary team productive and focused throughout the workshop.
Participants learn why strong leadership is the difference between a HAZOP that “gets through the agenda” and one that produces clear, defensible outcomes. The course covers how to set studies up properly (objectives, motivations, readiness, and whether HAZOP is the right tool), lock down scope through a robust Terms of Reference, plan execution and logistics, and lead the room through real-world dynamics, including participation, trust, and conflict, while protecting quality and momentum.
